Open NeatLock and go to the Vault tab. Tap Add Media and pick what you want to secure. Once moved, those photos and videos disappear from your main Photos library and sit behind Face ID or Touch ID instead.
Check that NeatLock is enabled under iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode). After an iOS update or a biometrics reset, you sometimes need to re-enable it. Your device passcode always works as a backup if biometrics fail.
No, and that's intentional. Vault media stays only on your device and is excluded from iCloud Photos. The whole point is to keep those files private. Keep a local backup of anything important in the vault, because if you delete the app, that media is gone for good.
All vault media is permanently deleted when you remove NeatLock. Export or move anything you want to keep before uninstalling. There's no way to recover it after the app is gone.
NeatLock uses Apple's on-device Vision and Photos frameworks to find visually similar or identical photos and videos in your library. Nothing is uploaded. You see both copies side by side before anything is deleted, so you choose which one to keep.
Photos deleted through NeatLock go to your iOS Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where they stay for 30 days. You can restore them from there within that window. After 30 days, they're gone permanently. Back up your library before running any cleaning features.
Library access is needed for the duplicate finder, blurry photo detector, screenshot cleaner, and moving media into the vault. You can limit the level of access (full library or selected photos) in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → NeatLock. Revoking access turns off library cleaning features, but anything already in the vault is unaffected.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → NeatLock → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Open NeatLock, go to the subscription screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
Refunds go through Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the NeatLock purchase, and select "Request a Refund."
