This Privacy Policy explains how ProfitGrid (the "App"), developed by John Steinmetz, handles your information. ProfitGrid is designed to keep your trading data private — it is stored on your device and never transmitted to our servers.

Summary

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use advertising SDKs, ad identifiers, or cross-app tracking.
• Your trade data, P&L records, journal entries, and notes are stored only on your device.
• Optional iCloud sync stores your data in your own private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit — not on our servers.

Information We Collect

Trade and Journal Data

All trade entries, daily P&L records, journal notes, performance statistics, and related data you enter in ProfitGrid are stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers and is not accessible to John Steinmetz.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud for ProfitGrid, your data syncs across your Apple devices via Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account — we do not have access to it. You control iCloud sync through iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. Apple Privacy Policy

Subscription Processing via RevenueCat

ProfitGrid uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and entitlement validation. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous, randomly-generated app installation identifier — it receives no trade data, no financial records, no name, no email address, and no personally identifying information of any kind.

• The identifier is app-scoped and generated at install time. It is not linked to your Apple ID, iCloud account, or any personal data you enter in the App.
• RevenueCat also receives limited technical metadata such as app version, platform (iOS), and Apple transaction receipts — none of which identifies you personally or reveals any financial data.
• RevenueCat is used solely for subscription management and entitlement validation — not for advertising or profiling.

Diagnostic Information

If macOS crash reporting is enabled on your device, anonymized technical crash reports may be received through Apple's standard crash reporting system. These reports contain no trade data or personal financial information.

What We Do Not Collect

• Trade data, P&L figures, or journal entries
• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Financial account information of any kind
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• Location data
• Payment card or brokerage account information

We do not track users across apps or websites.

Third-Party Services

Data Security

Your trade data is stored using Apple's on-device storage technologies, protected by your device passcode and biometric authentication. iCloud data is protected by Apple's security infrastructure. We minimize data collection to reduce your exposure.

Children's Privacy

ProfitGrid is not directed at children under 13 and is intended for adult traders. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Because ProfitGrid stores data locally and through your personal iCloud account, you maintain full control. You may delete data at any time within the App, disable iCloud sync through Apple settings, or delete the App to remove all locally stored data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last Updated date above will reflect any changes.
