Subscriptions (CaddieOS Pro)

What's included in CaddieOS Pro?

Pro unlocks the AI caddie, the community course database, Apple Watch swing detection, and unlimited rounds. The free tier covers GPS distances, per-club shot recording, map data, and one round per day.

What plans are available?

Monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. No free trial. Current pricing is shown in the app and on the App Store at checkout.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → CaddieOS on your iPhone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

How do I restore my purchases?

Open CaddieOS, go to Profile → Upgrade to Pro, and tap Restore at the top of the screen.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases go through Apple. Head to reportaproblem.apple.com to request one. I can't issue refunds directly.

Getting Started

How do I start a round?

Go to the Play tab, tap Start a round, pick your course, then tap Start round. During the round, swipe to switch between the distances view and the map view.

How do I mark pins, tees, or greens?

Tap the on-screen mark buttons during an active round. Pro subscribers can contribute marked coordinates to the community course database, which helps improve accuracy for everyone.

How accurate are the distances?

GPS distances and plays-like figures are estimates. Accuracy depends on your GPS signal and the quality of the course data. Use your own judgment on the course.

Apple Watch

How do I set up the Apple Watch app?

Install the CaddieOS watch app from the Watch app on your iPhone. Start a round on your iPhone and it syncs to the watch automatically.

How does swing detection work?

Swing detection is a CaddieOS Pro feature. When a swing is detected, the watch asks which club you used. There's a "Practice, don't count" option too. Motion processing happens entirely on your device.

How do I log putts and penalties?

Add putts on the score screen; add penalties from the actions screen on your Apple Watch.

Permissions

Why does CaddieOS need location access?

Location powers GPS distances and shot tracking. The App uses location while active and in the background during an active round so distances keep updating with your phone in your pocket. You can review or change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → CaddieOS.

Is my location shared with anyone?

Your location is not sold or used for ads. When you open a course, its coordinates are sent to map providers (OpenStreetMap/Overpass and Apple Maps) and to GolfCourseAPI to fetch course data. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

What is HealthKit used for?

With your permission, the App reads workout and heart-rate data to enrich round insights and writes a "Golf" workout to Apple Health. Health data stays on your device and in Apple Health. It is never sent to our servers. You can manage this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → CaddieOS.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's stored in the community course database?

Only pseudonymous course geometry: tee, green, pin, and hazard locations and par. Never your name, email, or Apple ID. Each contribution is linked only to an irreversible pseudonym. Reading from and contributing to the database are Pro features.

How do I find my Support ID or Contributor ID?

Open CaddieOS, go to Profile. Your Support ID (anonymous subscription identifier) and Contributor ID (anonymous course-data identifier) are both listed there. Tap either one to copy it. These contain no personal information.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email [email protected] from, or referencing, the email address you used to create your account. I need that to verify the request. I'll confirm and delete your account data. Deleting the app also removes all data stored on your device. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
