Tap the + button on the main screen and select New Server. Enter your server's IP address or hostname, the RCON port (25575 for Minecraft, 27015 for Source engine games), and your RCON password. Tap Save. Your password goes straight into the iOS Keychain.
Anything running the standard RCON protocol: Minecraft Java Edition, Source engine servers (CS:GO, TF2, Garry's Mod, and others), and other servers that follow the same spec. I'm looking at adding more protocol support down the road.
Work through these in order:
1. Make sure RCON is actually enabled on the server. For Minecraft, that's enable-rcon=true in server.properties.
2. Double-check the port and make sure it's open in your firewall.
3. Confirm the RCON password in the app matches what's set on the server exactly.
4. Make sure your phone has an internet connection.
5. If you're on a hosted server, your provider may be blocking the RCON port. Worth contacting them to ask.
RCON passwords live in the iOS Keychain, encrypted by your device's hardware and passcode. They never touch my servers. They're also intentionally left out of iCloud sync and device backups. Delete the app and they're gone from Keychain too.
No. The connection goes directly from your iPhone to your server. Your commands and responses never touch my infrastructure. It's point-to-point.
Yes, via iCloud. Turn it on in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud and enable CommandNest. Server profile names and settings sync across your Apple devices. One thing to know: RCON passwords are intentionally excluded from sync for security reasons, so you'll need to re-enter them on each device.
Open the console for any server and tap the history icon. You'll see everything you've sent. Tap any command to run it again. You can clear the history from the server settings menu whenever you want.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not me. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → CommandNest → Cancel Subscription. Do it at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Open CommandNest, go to the subscription screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it.
Apple handles refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the CommandNest purchase, and select "Request a Refund."
