CommandNest is a tool for connecting to servers you own or are explicitly authorized to administer. Unauthorized access to computer systems is illegal under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the UK Computer Misuse Act, and equivalent laws worldwide. By using this App, you affirm that you have the right to access every server you connect to.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CommandNest (the "App"), developed by John Steinmetz. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
CommandNest is a server administration tool that allows users to connect to RCON-enabled servers and other infrastructure endpoints, issue commands, and view server responses. It is intended for use by authorized server administrators managing systems they own or have been granted permission to administer.
READ CAREFULLY. BY USING COMMANDNEST, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using CommandNest, you represent that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms and that you will use the App only for lawful purposes.
Some features require a paid subscription or in-app purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date through Apple's subscription management.
Payments are processed by Apple using your Apple ID. John Steinmetz does not store payment card information. Subscription entitlements are managed using RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous, app-scoped device identifier — no server data, no credentials, no command history, and no personally identifying information is shared with RevenueCat. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
To cancel: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → CommandNest → Cancel Subscription.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful purposes only. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, distribute, or create competing products based on this App. You may not use the App to facilitate unauthorized access to any computer system or network.
CommandNest, including its software, design, branding, and content, is owned by John Steinmetz and protected by intellectual property law. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Your use of CommandNest is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how the App stores and protects your server connection data on-device.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOHN STEINMETZ DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT CONNECTIONS TO YOUR SERVERS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT COMMAND TRANSMISSION WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TESTING ALL COMMANDS IN NON-PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENTS BEFORE APPLYING THEM TO LIVE SYSTEMS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOHN STEINMETZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF DATA, SERVER DOWNTIME, CORRUPTION OF SERVER STATE, LOSS OF PLAYER DATA, FINANCIAL LOSS, OR ANY OTHER LOSSES ARISING FROM COMMANDS ISSUED THROUGH THE APP, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR SERVERS, CREDENTIAL COMPROMISE, OR ANY OTHER USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT CERTAIN RCON COMMANDS ARE IRREVERSIBLE AND THAT YOU ASSUME ALL ASSOCIATED RISK.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless John Steinmetz from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the App; (b) any commands you issue through the App; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) any unauthorized access to computer systems facilitated by your use of the App; or (e) your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
CommandNest relies on Apple App Store, Apple iCloud / CloudKit, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or outages. Your RCON-enabled servers are third-party systems operated by you or others — John Steinmetz is not responsible for their availability, behavior, or security.
These Terms are between you and John Steinmetz only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple is not responsible for product liability, regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims related to the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
